Here we go again with the freakin hippies.  Check this link for a quick summary.  Basically, girl is in a car that crashes into a light at 45 mph, girls friend pulls girl from car, girl is a paraplegic upon regaining conciousness, girl sues friend for crippling her.

What the hell?  The California Supreme Court said it's ok for the girl to sue her friend.  Turns out they were all out drinking before the car crashed into the pole.  I'm guessing a little bit of causality there.  Next, there is a bit of contention about whether the accident or the "rescue" caused the paralysis.  I'm pretty sure that somebody is going to call me an insensitive lout, but what the hell is she doing hanging out with someone who really thinks that cars blow up several minutes after crashing?  Lay off the booze, don't watch too many movies, and quit blaming somebody else because you're an idiot.
