I love peanut butter!!!

I swear, I love hearing stories like this.  It looks like some doctor's may have cured some kids of a peanut allergy.  Amazingly, they used incredibly small amounts of peanut flour to determine each kid's tolerance to peanuts, something like 1/10,000th of a peanut, and then gave them daily doses of just under that amount, slowly increasing over time.

Most of them are now eating about a handful of peanuts now, and a few were pulled from the treatment for a month to see if they could still eat peanuts after that, and they were just fine!

A lady came into where I work the other day, and had a peanut butter cookie that wasn't labled (I think a kid or somebody took the lable down), and she had to stop eating and go home for her epi-pen.  Sure I'm surprised that she didn't have it with her, but how much cooler would it be if she didn't have to go anywhere in the first place?

It's a much different tone than in this article, describing the peanut allergy and bleak prospects for someone with the allergy.  Hurrah for Western medice, yet again!!!
