Groovy article about positioning
I just read an article that gave me pause. It was written by Paige Waehner at about.com, and it made me stop and think. Often enough, I hear people talking about how much time they spent researching or listening to friends and family telling them about the best weight loss supplement but when it comes to working out and training, their research is lackadaisical. When I used to work out like I meant it, I was never at a loss for people to tell me how I SHOULD be doing something, or what I SHOULD change in my training. The only guy that ever made any sense was Eric, who spent some time training, and some time competing. He could tell me the WHYs and back up his advice with studies and with results.
Unfortunately, most of the advice I got was from overweight middleaged guys who claimed to have once been the "cat's meow." I didn't listen to most of it, because it didn't make any sense, but I guess what I'm trying to say is take advice from people who are where you want to be, and if you don't quite understand something, ask questions like Paige says.
