Make TV

I've been spending a lot of time lately with my podcasts, watching videos and such especially.  I'm pretty sure that "Stuff They Don't Want You To Know" is on my list of more-entertaining-less-credible podcasts, while Dan Carlin's Common Sense is on the list of high-quality 'casts.  One of my favorites, though, is Make TV:Technology on Your Time, with Kipkay.  He's a quirky kind of guy, but he likes to tinker and build stuff out of the Make magazine, and there is all kinds of cool projects and gadgets in the podcast that are semi-useful, fun to build, and not terribly expensive.  Half of them I'd like to build just to build them and waste a day.  One of those would be the rain barrels project he just taped.  He uses one to collect water and and has a hand pump to get the water out.  I was thinking about rigging one up under a gutter downspout and using the water to feed my garden.  We'll see.
