Nicki finally got some braces on today.  She was really excited about her teeth getting straightened, but I don't think she realized how much it was going to hurt.  After a couple hours, it really started to bother her.  I think that's the biggest reason I didn't get braces.  I mean, my teeth aren't THAT crooked, but it was definately mentioned once or twice.  I'm just glad she is getting it fixed now, and not having to wait until she's an adult. 

The orthodontist was pretty fast, too.  I think she was back there for maybe 30 minutes or so, and I thought it was going to take a couple hours.  I guess I'm just not too hip on the technology floating around today, like with acne scar removal.  I thought it was still "Well, try some cocoa butter."  Used to be pretty much screwed if you had a bad acne case that scarred up.  Now they'll go all Star Wars on your face with some lasers and bing bang boom, you're Brad Pitt.
