In case you haven't heard of wikileaks yet, go check it out.  Lots of provoking material there, and ostensibly as verified as verified can get without releasing sources.  I know a lot of people are pissed about what wikileaks does, and point out the obvious need for some secrecy in the government, in EVERY government.  But the big question is "why does wikileaks exist in the first place, then?"  Simply because we have caught our government doing enough evil crap behind our backs and lying about it.  And I'm not talking legitimate state secrets here.  I'm talking Bay of Pigs, hallucinogenic experiments on unwitting civilian populations, Watergate, and even blowjobs in the White House. 

Frankly, if our government lied to us less, and acted responsibly more, then took responsibility for mistakes, wikileaks would have no place.  It speaks to a sad state.
