We were at the Staples tonight checking out laptops, trying to decide if they are worth the money we could spend on them right now or whether to wait.  I've been doing a lot of research and reading online, but there is only so far cold numbers will go.  Sure, better, worse, whatever, but nothing beats actually touching a machine and seeing what it can do.  Then if you find something with better numbers after that, you have something to at least compare it to.   On our way out of the store, Leeanne saw a sign that said "Get $50 off instantly when you recycle any printer."  I have a couple of Dell inkjets that I doubt I could get $50 for on craigslist , and an old epson receipt printer that I kept for destruction purposes.  After all, the sign didn't say "any COMPUTER printer," it just said "printer."
