American Airlines accepted some pets on a day that was 1 degree hotter than the upper limit of their policy, and later, half of them died .  What a crappy way to go.  I mean some of them probably thought they were going to kick the bucket while fulfilling their dreams with Lassie, maybe at least one of them thought he'd go in the line of duty.  But trapped in a cage in the cargo hold of huge airplane selling overpriced alcohol as an alternative to flat soda to wash down stale peanuts to cranky people stuffed together on the next floor up?  Incredibly sad.
